The 2nd Global Refractories Conference for Cement and Lime will concentrate on refractory bricks and castables, refractories and alternative fuels, bricking and installation advances, brick stripping, insulation methods, anchors, procurement options, news, contacts and developments.
This is the call for papers for the Global Refractories Conference for cement and lime 2008.
The Conference will concentrate on the practical aspects of the use of refractories in cement and lime plants, and will also focus on the use of refractories with alternative fuels, on the latest developments in bricks, castables, gunnables and insulation, on installation advances and on kiln scanning, brick stripping techniques, kiln services, refractory measurement techniques and on environmental aspects of refractory use, including refractory recycling.
The conference organisers are interested to hear from companies or individuals who are interested in presenting a first class paper at the Global Refractories Conference 2008.
Presenters must remember that they will be talking to experts: there is no need to repeat the basics of refractories!
All presentations will be 25 minutes in length, with an additional 5 minutes at the end of each presentation for questions and discussions. All presenters should use PowerPoint software.
Presenters must register for the conference in the normal way.
In the first instance, all prospective presenters should contact the conference convenor, Dr Robert McCaffrey (fellow of the Institute of Refractory Engineers), with a title, author list and proposed abstract, as soon as possible.
