Surface Treatment Huicong Network: Abstract: ladle lining material development and a variety of lining material usage, and future development prospects. The facts show that ladle lining materials is the rapid development of its material to the high-grade, high-purity, high-performance direction, with the nano-technology and surface treatment technology, as well as metal ceramic technology and the theory of reference, Ladle Lining material production, application and maintenance to the precise direction of the development trend. Key words: ladle; liner material; development
INTRODUCTION
Ladle is important steelworks thermal equipment, including the choice of lining material is essential, the length of its life is not only related to the consumption of refractory material and steel costs, but also directly affects the quantity and quality of steel. So over the years to extend the package lining life has been a priority. With the continuous development of metallurgical technology, smelting and casting temperature than the increase, making steel in ladle stay longer, especially for the use of ladle furnace, secondary refining outside (desulfurization, Argon processing, etc.) after, LF, SKF and VD furnace refining furnace, such as the use, making use of Ladle increasingly harsh conditions, lined with declining life expectancy, which requires the rapid development of lining material must be in order to adapt to changes in smelting conditions.
In order to improve the package lining life, domestic and foreign counterparts have done a lot of research work, mainly from improvements in lining material, brick, lining an integrated, monolithic, and the construction methods of manpower, and now also some steel-lined surface processing, at different times have achieved certain results.
Ladle lining materials: clay, wax brick, (light burning) , burning combination of aluminum-magnesium silicate brick, light burning oil Baiyun brick, magnesia brick → centrifugal projection Silica, mechanized ramming (siliceous , semi-siliceous, high-aluminum, etc.) → Waterglass combination of aluminum-magnesium silicate castables → burning combination of high alumina spinel brick → spinel castables, aluminum-magnesium casting material (silica fume, high alumina cement and pure combination of calcium aluminate cement) → high-purity aluminum-magnesium spinel castables, aluminum-magnesium carbon brick lining and non-carbon bricks. Some of which are in some stage of steel cross and repeated.
